The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for detailed analysis of both interchange and the specific cardbrand fees charged by Card Brand Associations both domestic and international. This position will be key in evaluating how fee amounts are estimated today, where gaps in estimation exist, how they can be improved (updated rates, system changes, communications, etc.). Analyses and reporting will be performed monthly with results being shared with several teams and organizations around the company. They will be the main point of contact for Card Brand Associations interchange and cardbrand expense trends, billing strategy, upcoming changes, and system implementations world-wide. Responsibilities
Recommend pricing initiatives, track performance and help influence margin Deliver driver-based forecast trends to finance that can easily layer onto existing forecasting and budgeting Manage monthly and quarterly reporting of cardbrands like FANF, BIN volumes, etc. Assist in special ad-hoc analyses Assist with executive level presentations Analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data from various platforms compared to plans, forecasts, and prior year results Use data science methods to create complex models for retention, pricing,and other operational insights and strategy
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in merchant acquiring Exposure to Corporate Accounting Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Economics or related disciplines preferred Driver-based forecasting experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, generate alternatives and clearly communicate findings to drive positive change Demonstrated proficiency with expert Excel; Hyperion EPBCS and/or Oracle ERP system experience preferred Ability to grasp understanding of business models and key drivers quickly and independently Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP Superior analytical and problem solving skills Must be able to meet deadlines and deliver timely and accurate results Thorough planning and organization skills with great attention to detail Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment Ability to succeed in a team environment and perform cross-functional duties as required. Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls Strong research and analysis skills Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently Ability to manage competing priorities Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance Self-directed with strong motivation and willingness to take initiative and lead project Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and the ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations Flexible, team and customer service oriented, able and willing to learn Expert knowledge in Excel with proficiency in PowerPoint, and Word required (Google Sheets is a plus). Experience in playing a role in analyzing a highly complex business.
