As the Sustaining Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing product delivery lead times, improving Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, and enhancing cross-department communication for the Sustaining Engineering department. Reporting to the Product Engineer, you'll focus on drawing accuracy, timely completion of deliverables, and achieving overall productivity improvements.

You Will:

  • Identify opportunities for redesign and maintenance of products to improve performance, align with revised standards, reduce costs, and simplify configuration.

  • Manage and prioritize Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Product Improvement processes, including engineering and production validations.

  • Review and assess Product Improvement requests, prioritizing them based on safety, performance, and urgency.

  • Oversee updates and impacts to BOMs, drawings, operations, and marketing materials.

  • Organize and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing structures for project records.

  • Ensure BOM and Parts Master accurately reflect the latest validated and released designs.

  • Maintain Sustaining Engineering and Design Standards & Processes and monitor project timelines.

  • Drive department success through established metrics and KPIs.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing or Sustaining Engineering.

  • Proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks.

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
