Manager, Clinical Systems Training, Hybrid (KY/IN Residents Only)

The Manager, Clinical System Training manages the development of clinical and non-clinical adult training programs for the EPIC system. Develops blended learning approaches, as appropriate for the audience and learning objectives. Provides a variety of print and electronic learning materials, assessments and professional development programs to promote effective learning. Coordinates integrated training opportunities where input from multiple applications is necessary. Engages with the Norton Healthcare learning management system (LMS) related to Epic learning needs. Manages all Norton Healthcare on-line eLearning applications and programs related to Epic learning needs. On occasion, facilitates classroom training. Manages the training team, program scheduling, curriculum delivery, communicates course catalogue and coordinates training materials and environment build. Collaborates with Training Director to provide opportunities for trainers to develop training, communication, and professionalism skills.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manages the training team to include:
  • Manage scope and assess risk for all training venues related to Epic.
  • Staff, develop and coach the training team staff.
  • Manage principal trainer and training team tasks.
• Takes charge of the program scheduling to include:
  • Develop an overall training schedule.
  • Assist the principal trainer and training team to secure scheduling of training classes including location and equipment needed.
  • Communicate schedule and training registration to department managers.
  • Schedule the appropriate level of training for each user.
• Coordinate training materials and environment build to include:
  • Standardize templates for lesson plans, manuals, tip sheets and other materials used by trainees.
  • Develop training environment strategy, which includes coordinating the training environments, refreshing schedules, and developing playground/practice environments.
  • Coordinate training environment tasks and milestones
• Determines the type of curriculum delivery, such as instructor led classes, e-learning, or a combination of lesson types.
• Ensures all users are properly trained prior to gaining access to the production environment, which might include developing a certification program.
• Communicate with others to include:
  • Communicate to management the required training for each role, including publishing a course catalogue.
  • Keep users informed about training programs throughout the Epic application life cycle.
  • Ensure end user requests for additional training are evaluated and addressed as appropriate
  • Market and publish end user training to generate excitement for classes.

**This position has the opportunity to be a hybrid position. You will be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility and must be able to come in for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana**

Required:

• Three years adult training and development
• Bachelor Degree

Desired:

• Three years training in a large healthcare setting, with One year management experience.
