Operations Excellence Manager

NHBB is looking for aLean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt to join our team as our Operations Excellence Manager

Working with the Senior Management Team, this role as Operations Excellence Manager will develop, set the pace and implement business transformation and continuous improvement strategies with sensitivity towards the organizational structure, commercial approach, culture, people and processes. You will work to plan, design, and direct Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma projects. You will develop strategy and processes required to accomplish measurable business process improvements, employ Lean/Six Sigma methodology and analytics to re-engineer organizational operations, and work with other professionals in the planning, designing, and implementation of key projects. You will provide coaching and training of teams in the utilization and deployment of Lean/Six Sigma tools and principles. Outline directions and deployment of the Lean/Six Sigma framework to ensure consistent and rigorous application across the business in line with best practice.

In your daily role as Operations Excellence Manager you will:




  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and tracking of Lean/Six Sigma projects to meet business goals.
  • Manage the Lean/Six Sigma project pipeline and prioritization for implementation and execution.
  • Develop and implement, and sharebest practice Lean/Six Sigma strategies, policies, and processes to improve operational performance.
  • Partner with senior management to drive business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and sustain cultural change across the organization, fostering employee empowerment and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide coaching and training to teams on Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies to ensure consistent application.
  • Analyze business process and data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, managing risks, dependencies, budgets, and key milestones.
  • Report on Lean/Six Sigma activities, track KPIs, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all improvement efforts.


What we are looking for from you as the Operational Excellence Manager :



  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Proven track record of Lean/Six Sigma transformation in a manufacturing organization.
  • Very high level of organizational and time management skills.


Your education and skills will include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Empathetic listening to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in selection and application of both Lean and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentations).
  • Commercially and financially aware, with strong analytical abilities.
  • Effective atbuilding engagement and driving continuous improvement.


In this role you may have to travel approximately 20% of the time both domestically and internationally. You will also possess a willingness to come in early/stay late without direction to complete time sensitive tasks.
