Responsibilities

    Design, update, and enforce effective control processes and procedures to adequately safeguard our company's financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks relatedto financial reporting, ensuring all controls are adequately monitored and evidence is maintained.
  • Ensure that control activities across the organization are documented, tested, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    Continuously monitor emerging trends, changes to SOX regulations, and industry best practices to maintain a cutting-edge SOX compliance program.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of SOX professionals and PMO staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with IA and external auditors on SOX-related matters, ensuring timely completion of audit activities and effective remediation of identified deficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the SOX compliance and PMO processes.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of the SOX compliance program and PMO activities to the Executive Leadership Team, as needed.

The annual salary for this role is $134,100 - $178,800 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)



Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the background and experience that demonstrates as being highly skilled in the following capabilities:

  • BBA in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years Professional experience supporting a company's SOX program.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred
  • Must have a be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent
  • Strong background in SOX compliance requirements, accounting and finance processes, including a solid understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency
  • Being able to identify, classify and prioritize business risks
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Conflict management, especially with auditees
  • Proficiency in English
