JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor JOB PURPOSE: The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking to hire two tenure-track faculty in Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence or Blockchain and Distributed Systems with an emphasis on Cybersecurity. We seek scholars with expertise in areas such as, but not limited to: systems and network aspects of security and privacy, software security, machine learning and security, blockchain and distributed systems, human factors of security and privacy, mobile and cloud security, web security, digital forensics and cryptography; and other emerging topics such as security in quantum computing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain a strong research program and work with colleagues in the department to develop educational and research in Cybersecurity and Applications. The successful candidates' responsibilities will include developing a vigorous independent research program supported by external grant funding, high-quality teaching of EECS courses, mentoring of graduate students, working collaboratively with faculty and staff, and service to the university and state.
