Position Overview The Inventory Analyst I position, reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, is a crucial role responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory and providing support for daily inventory-related activities. The position holder will collaborate cross-functionally with other branches to ensure an efficient supply chain and promote continuous improvement activities to reduce lead-time and improve picking efficiencies. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts with precision to ensure inventory accuracy within the facility.
- Build and update inventory accuracy KPIs and other metrics using cycle count data.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify cycle count variances.
- Perform process audits and identify areas for improvement based on audit findings.
- Resolve negative inventory reporting issues and analyze stock loss to prevent future occurrences.
- Support the Inventory Supervisor in creating reports such as safety stock limits, ABC, Inventory Turns, and Slow-Moving Inventory Analysis.
- Assist in analyzing and trending created inventory reports.
- Contribute to annual cycle counts and internal quality defect management.
- Provide additional support functions as needed.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma
- An Associate's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a supply chain related role, such as inventory or scheduling.
- Competence in ERP systems, with a preference for SAP experience and understanding.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and write formulas (e.g. nest if, then statements, and VLOOKUP's).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to pull and summarize data.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and lead others positively by coaching them to achieve standards and team goals.
- Ability to manage small projects.
- Competence in using the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Background in Lean Manufacturing.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate fluctuating workload.
