Process Support 2 - Shot Peen Operator - 3rd Shift
Job Overview Title: Process Support 2 - Shot Peen Operator Trainee - 3rd Shift Reports to: Value Stream Manager Location: Kent, WA Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt (hourly) Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.; Must be able to train on 1st shift up to 90 days. Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Job Summary This is an entry-level position in our Shot Peen department. Employees in this position will learn tasks to process parts specific to Shot Peening and will learn to become a proficient Shot Peen Operator. Operator Trainees may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. A Shot Peen Operator Trainee may perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. * FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing. Essential Mental/Physical Demands
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and fumes from metal finishing chemicals. Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment is required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and respirator (provided by Company). Due to current COVID precautions, face masks are required. Salary Range for position: $16.66 - $45.00 *DOE, dependent upon experience in years and/or combination of experience and coursework training. Process Support 2 median hourly range starts $19.50 to $21.00 per hour. 3rd Shift: This position will include an extra $1.00 per hour for 3rd shift differential pay that is in addition to the base hourly rate.
