Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group and will be responsible for evaluating large amounts of data and providing insights into business performance and trends. The position will also routinely create ad-hoc financial analyses and prepare materials for Senior Management and across field and corporate support teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing data to help understand and forecast sales, gross margin, and expense trends.
  • Builds financial databases by identifying sources of information and assembling, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Monitors key performance indicators, performs root cause analysis, and evaluates business and process improvement opportunities.
  • Works with field management in developing pro-forma financials for potential new location openings.
  • Provides ad-hoc financial analysis to assist decision making for executive management.
  • Prepares and reviews reports used in monthly financial close processes and Board of Director meetings.
  • Works in a team-based setting to provide financial and operational value-add reports for utilization by field and support management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer science or Data Analytics.
  • 3+ years of FP&A, Finance or Public Accounting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, data query and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and accounting skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline-driven work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
