Hospital Operator Lead

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Hospital Operator Lead
  • Location: Highland Park, IL and Glenview, IL
  • Full Time (40 hours per week)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 10am - 6:30pm, weekends if needed, on-call requirement every other week
  • Required Travel: Floating locations between Glenbrook and Highland Park Hospital

What you will do:

  • Responsible for ongoing training, coaching and providing feedback for skills development.
  • Ensuring proper staffing to handle daily call volume and customer interactions.
  • Answer questions from staff and provide needed guidance.
  • Anticipate escalation and take over calls when needed
  • Measure and report on operator performance metrics and monitoring call activity
  • Be able to perform all function of the switchboard operator as they will also handle calls during busy times and fill in for operator vacancy.
  • Handles the directory update and on call schedule entry processes
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration or other related field preferred.
  • Certification: Attend and pass vendor training classes on PBX attendant console, directory package and other products used within the operators' environment.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a central telecommunications position in a hospital or healthcare related field. 1+ years of demonstrated ability to supervise and build teams.
