SET THE COURSE

The Buyer for Omni Women's Accessories & Resort will ensure seasonal and annual sales plans are achieved. Plans should consist of targeted sales/category/identify key volume drivers supported by marketing events and initial floor set initiatives. These plans are to be reviewed seasonally with a roll up for the year and will include identifying A.B.C.D.E assortments for the individual categories. In addition to Women's Accessories, this role will also oversee all aspects of Rosa Boutique & Spa Rosa buying and merchandising.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Meet Seasonal and Annual Sales Plans including Gross Margin/Turn/ Sell-thru/RTV objectives.

  • Plan and manage the retail assortment, product flow and individual store assortment variances based on the diverse nature of location, size and type of store.

  • Analyze and provide seasonal analysis of product performance/location/delivery.

  • Provide seasonal score card/ line plans.

  • Manage product grid for PO.

  • Establish retails which will drive profitability.

  • Manage timing/flow of product, based on seasonal plans/exit strategies.

  • Direct the product allocation strategy between stores optimizing the demographic/geographic and climate profile of stores.

  • Be a "Student of the Market" - understanding the "retail" landscape, competitors/pricing/ products/distribution channels.

  • Maximize sell-thru within selling cycle to reduce TTO's/reducing markdowns and maintain profitability.

  • Work with Regional and Store Managers to ensure the needs of the stores are being met

  • Continuously seek opportunities and risks within the business

  • Manage floor set strategies for initial deliveries

  • Continually analyze the individual channels seeking opportunities, potential reorders, exit strategies etc.

  • Select Resorts merchandise across all categories assigned, delivering a strong brand point of view.

  • Manage Resorts allocation strategies to ensure allocators maintain proper replenishment strategies of stock goals and flow plans, including stock balancing.

  • Manage Resorts planning strategies and develop monthly financial plans inclusive of sales, inventory, and margin targets.

  • Work with Store Development on the build out and needs of Resort Store & Spa locations, as needed.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Bachelors' degree (business preferred) or equivalent and relevant work experience.

  • Generally, 6+ years of experience as a buyer for a multi-location retail operation.

  • Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Office and Super User with excellent Excel knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Tommy Bahama's image and how that translates to the assortment of the line at the retail level

  • Demonstrated merchandising experience.

  • Third party vendor and licensee relationship experience a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate concepts to merchandise team.

  • Detail oriented, analytical and deadline driven

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Proven leadership skills with an understanding of the importance of team building/development, while fostering partnerships.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple vendors.

  • Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized.

  • Ability to stay current with trends and a strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated financial management, merchandising, analytical, assortment planning and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in a fast pace environment.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $76,951.88 - $128,253.13 annually.
